Happy Monday! Presidents' Day is kind of a weird holiday and that's just the debate over how to spell it! Presidents, President's or Presidents'? (I'm going with the plural possessive since it's general thought of [...]
Random thoughts on a Friday morning while Lola is waiting for her morning walk... (I did this on the Dwyerwire blog back in the day and thought it was a good way to wrap up [...]
Encouraged or discouraged. Job shadowing for a high school senior will go either of those two ways. Rarely in between. Through my nearly three decades as a TV broadcaster, I've had job shadows from local [...]
2-13. 7-12. 2-19. 5-16. That's not some combination to a lock. Those are the high school basketball records my four years. 16-60. Just about any time we played on the road, it was "parents' night" [...]
Finally. I haven’t been part of a birth of a child, but professionally speaking this might be in the neighborhood. Ever since I left News-2 in June of 2014, I’ve struggled with an effective way [...]
OUR NEW GOAL – 100K IN 100 DAYS!
JTG’s recent transition into the nonprofit sector means that the program is funded by generous donations to keep it sustained and growing. We rely on residents of the Volunteer State to invest in its future; the numbers don’t lie. JTG’s results are long-standing and proven, and by giving at-risk students the skills and expertise necessary to transition successfully into a post-secondary education or directly into the workforce, it allows the burden of the taxpayer to shift from being reactive to proactive.
By investing in our students, we ensure that they are thriving and contributing members to society by the time they walk across the stage with their caps and gowns. Will you join us on this radical mission to raise $100K in 100 days so we can continue JTG’s legacy of success and expand it’s reach into more schools across the state?
