The mission of Jobs For Tennessee Graduates (JTG) is to identify students who face barriers to graduation, guiding each one toward post-secondary education, a meaningful career, and a productive adulthood. JTG’s purpose is to improve young lives forever.
JTG is an affiliate of Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) and is a non-profit organization. Jobs for Tennessee Graduates is one of JAG’s longest serving affiliates, launched in 1981 under Governor Lamar Alexander. It was exclusively state funded until 2013. Since then, diverse funding sources (school districts, private businesses, and regional nonprofits) has allowed JTG to thrive in 19 schools in 15 counties throughout Tennessee. in 2014, JTG was approved as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which includes a high level board of directors.

OUR NEW GOAL – 100K IN 100 DAYS!
JTG’s recent transition into the nonprofit sector means that the program is funded by generous donations to keep it sustained and growing. We rely on residents of the Volunteer State to invest in its future; the numbers don’t lie. JTG’s results are long-standing and proven, and by giving at-risk students the skills and expertise necessary to transition successfully into a post-secondary education or directly into the workforce, it allows the burden of the taxpayer to shift from being reactive to proactive.
By investing in our students, we ensure that they are thriving and contributing members to society by the time they walk across the stage with their caps and gowns. Will you join us on this radical mission to raise $100K in 100 days so we can continue JTG’s legacy of success and expand it’s reach into more schools across the state?
